Our Representative Payee Program is a homeless prevention and fiscal case management program for individuals who collect Social Security. Participants are enrolled in the Representative Payee program via referrals from local caseworkers, health professionals, other human service programs, or self-referral. While enrolled in the program, New Bethany’s Case Manager handles the payment of rent and all other expenses, as well as assists with budgeting and saving for future needs. By ensuring that all clients’ expenses are paid promptly, we provide individuals who do not have the capacity to handle personal finances the ability to maintain self-sufficiency.
In 2017 alone, our Representative Payee Program supported 55 individuals. Of these individuals, 45 clients have used our Representative Payee services for more than five years.
