Our Transitional Housing Program is a short-term housing program for families referred via Lehigh or Northampton County. Families enrolled in the program live in our Transitional Housing Facility while they work with a Case Manager on action steps meant to move them towards self-sufficiency. Our Transitional Housing Program is one of the very few programs in the Valley that keeps families in tact as they work towards solving their homelessness (most Lehigh Valley organizations house dad separately from mom and the children). Families are reviewed after three months of the program, and can earn an additional three-month stay with positive action steps towards a more secure future.
Our Transitional Housing Program houses many children annually. Over the course of 2016, 34 families stayed in our program comprised of 48 adults and 76 children. In total, we provided over 13,000 nights of shelter to families working towards self-sufficiency in 2016.
